How old do I need to be to rent a car in Venice?
If you are looking to rent a car in Venice through Auto Europe, then please be aware of the fact that you must be at least 18 years old and have had a full driver's license for a minimum of one complete year. It's also important to note that drivers renting a car who are under the age of 25 may also be required to pay an additional surcharge. Can I rent a car without a credit card in Venice?
Yes, in the majority of cases it will be necessary to have a valid major credit card (Visa, American Express, Mastercard, etc.) in order to be able to rent a car in Venice. When you arrive at the rental counter to collect your vehicle, you will be asked to present a credit card in the name of the main driver (not a passenger or even an additional driver) whose name is written on your Auto Europe voucher. Additionally, the card must have enough available credit to cover the security deposit which the local vehicle supplier will require as a hold on the security deposit. In the absence of a credit card, the rental agency may refuse to provide the vehicle or require a supplementary insurance payment. Although some rental agencies may accept a debit card instead of a credit card, please note that this practice is extremely rare. Do I need to pay tolls when driving my car rental in Venice?
Yes, but only in the city's surroundings. However, you may have to pay tolls on Italian highways depending on where you go.
