" In Venice the rep had trouble with printing the documents, something that should have been 15 minutes took 45 minutes and he had to manually give me a receipt by hand. Otherwise car was new, clean and preformed well. "

" We were upgraded to a Mercedes as the Alfa Romeo was unavailable. The drop off was simple - they just did a quick walk around to check for damage and sent me the receipt by email. Quick and painless overall. "

" We've always been satisfied with Auto Europe. We wondered if they will ensure that the promised deduction is fulfilled. "

" The counter staff in Venice were unhelpful when we had questions and problems with the GPS. Plus the GPS maps were over a year out of date and it malfunctioned midway through our trip Leaving with us with some difficult navigation problems. However the staff at Leonardo Da Vinci Airport in Rome were excellent for our drop-off. We had an oil problem; the change oil light came on which we had checked out a ta service station. The staff in Rome were most helpful over this as well as with our faulty GPS, and offered to refund the full cost of the GPS rental. Hopefully this will be deducted from our bill. "

" We have used Auto Europe for many many years & have found your rates to be very friendly to our annual trip planning. We have never had a problem to be resolved but I am sure if it happens that you will be there to help out. "

" Europcar is right up there with the best of car renters. I had requested a Nissan SUV but was told that the one in the lot might break down quickly & was offered an "upgrade" to a Fiat Tipo SW. It performed pretty well over the 13 day rental but I found the gear box to be a bit squishy - goodness knows how many drivers had been at the wheel in its 28,000 km! I like that both Europcar and Hertz offer no deductible insurance at reasonable rates - at least when renting through AutoEurope! "

" As I mentioned in my feedback to Hertz, they need to provide better signage for returning vehicles at Marco Polo. Their return area is the last one in the garage & there needs to be a sign assuring drivers that they are still on the way to Hertz return. I parked in the first Hertz carrel I saw & it turned out not to be a return carrel so I had to go back and move the car. "

The only downside was that we wound up with larger vehicle which was a little more challenging on some of the narrower, one-way streets we travelled on. Other than that, we were pleased with the service and the vehicle. No fuss, just dealt with the issue. "

" The check-out and check-in processes were very slow. We had a number of problems with the car. The cigarette lighter to charge the GPS did not work. The car had not been fully cleaned. A warning light came on while we were in another country, and we were concerned it was not safe to drive the car. It took an hour on the phone to achieve no resolution. The resolution suggested was to leave the car in Croatia, and take the bus to Italy to pick up a different car! Very poor service. "

The one I brought with me paid for itself the moment we drove off the parking lot and hit the many round abouts and exits. Couldn't have enjoyed the drive any better with it and a lot worse without. " I was not pleased when I returned the car at Marco Polo Airport that there was no one there to receive the car and keys. I had checked the day before, and I was assured that there was always someone at the car return, and there would be someone there even at 4:30 a.m. when I needed to return the car. I was not the only person returning a car at that time, and we were all concerned about leaving cars and keys in an unattended lot. "

" I was very satisfied with my Auto Europe dealings. I was able to rent the car for a good price, booking several months in advance. "

" The car was not available at the pickup location (Piazzale Roma, Venice) and after a long wait, we were shuttled to another location to pickup a car that was dirty on the exterior. Unlike with previous car rentals, we had no maps provided with this one. There was no fluid in the windshield washer reservoir. The return of the car at a different city (Rome) was smooth and efficient. There were no gas stations in the final approach to the Rome airport, so I was not able to top up the fuel. As a result, the rental company charged me an outlandish service fee over and above the fuel cost (it was already 3/4 full). "

" Vehicle was delivered as promised after about a one hour delay from our arrival time. Operation was very busy but staff were cordial and professional. Tried to change the termination of contract to extend for a few hours, could not modify contract on line as stated in contract. When telephone contact made, at 1- 888 number, rate quoted was several hundred dollars for a few hours which made no sense to us. On returning vehicle on time, we observed lots of vehicles available. "

" We had an unfortunate situation with an extremely flat tire on the autostrada. We had to deal with the language issue......and the spare tire put on by a tow-truck driver which did not really solve our problem as we still needed to have a tire repaired or get another car. ende up by turning the car in 3 days early and flying to Rome. Expensive situation. "
