" On inspection of car I noticed large dent above front passenger front wheel. Was not noted on paperwork so I had to get counter staff to come out and make note on paperwork so I would not be liable for it on return, For my protection I also took pictures on all sides of car as well. They said I would get a Email of final discharge paperwork which I have not got yet. Car was new and overall I would use Europcar again. "

" The car was dirty upon pick up. Dirty floor, no floor mats and dirty glass...I washed it myself. The engine light came on halfway through the trip...wasted an entire day trying to get Hertz to deal with it. They told me to ignore it. Worrisome for rest of trip. They had 3 excellent staff-Paris associate and 2 in Freiburg. It was almost impossible to get phone help...cost us $38 phone charges and a wasted vacation day around the engine light. Price through you and Hertz was excellent!! "

" I had initially rented a smaller car - I think a Peugeot 208 or such - but the Gentleman at the counter realized that I would be travelling a fair amount and suggested another more comfy, albeit more expensive vehicle but with the bonus of a Diesel engine which I had preferred in any case. Noting the difference in fuel prices I recognized some saving by having a Diesel and I accepted, and it was a joy to drive this vehicle. I did not go over the vehicle with eagle eyes as it was explained to me and verified on the contract that there were already some existing scratches so I just looked forward to my travels. Being used to take good care of all my possessions, I also or even more so practiced this with the rental car and when ever possible tried to park away from any potential hazards. Returning the car the lady confirmed what was already stated on the contract and I can only say that it was a happy experience as I usually go to Europe almost every year for a longer stay and always rent. "

" I found the process of reserving a car then following up and making some changes to be very easy. The staff on the phone are very easy to talk to and managed their end intelligently. Changes were fairly easy and quick. "

" The vehicle I reserved was not what was waiting at the airport. They had a small van which I did not want. The alternative ended up being an "automatic" Citroen DS - awful vehicle! Not the type of automatic we know in NA. A slug of a car, lack of pickup from a stop and even stalled at times. I did not call about my dissatisfaction as I anticipated that I would need to go back to CDG to make a swap and I was not going to do that. The car functioned and I did not use it very much. I did not find a fuel station on my way to airport and had to pay a crazy price for that. Otherwise, Enterprise staff were pleasant and helpful at CDG. I found terminal 2 was a better place to get the right car. "

" The experience was satisfactory. The Hertz desk, both at Orly (the pick-up location) and at Carcasonne (the drop-off location) were very busy. The agent at Orly indicated that there would be a significant amount of additional charges which were not in conformance with the Auto Europe contract. Due to language difficulties (good English but sufficiently accented as to be very hard to comprehend) and the crowd, I decided to try to deal with discrepancy at a later date. As it transpired these charges did not subsequently materialize, but it was a concern until the Visa bill arrived. The car was a Peugeot 208 automatic. This caused some confusion at CDG Airport when the Europcar agent claimed our reservation was cancelled and he could do nothing for us. I called and explained the situation to a Auto Europe agent, and he wasn't sure what happened either, until I explained the time change request. He provided us with another booking reference, but the Europcar agent was unimpressed and asked that you never cancel reservations for such changes. "

" No problems with Autoeurope. Europcar however was not that great. We had booked a van for 7 passengers but tried to get something larger. Unfortunately this was not available. However when we actually picked up the van I asked again and there was an 8 seater Mercedes available. Unfortunately the car had not been cleaned, had a lot of dents and had the rear window wiper missing. Apart from that it was a good solution for us as it could take all our luggage whereas a van (Espace) we had booked would have likely been too small. We had to pay Euro 100 extra for the larger van. Apart from that, all went well, the van performed excellent and we were happy with our experience. "

" Please note that your staff needs to be made aware of the fact that there is NO Hertz desk -or car pickup/drop-off service whatsoever- at Terminal 3 in Paris. Before leaving on my vacation, I was told I could go to any of Terminals 1, 2 or 3 to get my car. My plan was to spend several days in Paris without a car and then to get a car only for the non-Paris travel portion. My wife and I showed up at CDG Terminal 3, with all of our bags, only to be told that Hertz has NOT had a presence at Terminal 3 for several years. We then had to drag all of our belongings by shuttle to Terminal 1. Not nice. "
