" The agent wanted to "upgrade" us to a sports model BMW convertible. It turned out to be too low and uncomfortable, and when we returned to the counter -- "there was nothing else available". With a little time and effort, the agent found a car that had "just come in", exactly the model and category we had reserved in the first place. I found she insisted quite a bit, a real "hard sell" to get me to opt for insurance I didn`t need, insurance already covered by my credit card. Just little problems eventually resolved. But a serious objection is the policy to require a customer to take pictures of the car before leaving in case of any damage -- no agent will go over the condition of the car with the customer and mark down any imperfections. "

" We have used AutoEurope for the last four visits to Europe, they are always very competitive and typically offer free upgrades once we pick up our car. "
" All was well until we returned the car and left an iPad in it. Despite calling 30 minutes after dropping off the car the iPad was never returned to us. Very poor customer service (non existent really) at the AVIS counter in Nice. I tried calling once back home and got no answer. I called AVIS in the US and they said "you shouldn't leave items in the car". Very helpful!!! I will never rent from AVIS again. "

But, I was not challenged on any of these existing but undocumented dings on [INVALID]off. Try to make it difficult to use credit card for CDW. I would have to pay, then collect from Visa. "

" To continuue' The people in the Avis Locations are very very understaffed.They run on a minimal budget hence keeping the customer waiting for long periods. I requested a receipt for my car as I could see how disorganised this company operated and felt the service was that of a third world country in the sticks.It took her 2hrs to be able to leave the booth at the station to go and look to see if my car was there.A male associate was there when I arrived however he dissapeared for over an hour and he did not return. Your company I was impressed with but this company AVIS are bringing down your reputation. "
