" This was my best car rental experience ever! Guerrin has it figured out...registered myself at kiosk, staff was very friendly and helpful. Went upstairs to pick up car. It was insanely busy at the airport and the process took about 10 - 15 minutes from the time I arrived to the time I was in the car. I wish every other rental company was this efficient. "

We finally got the car, given the keys, and left to figure out both the car and how to get out of Lisbon (comment was that it was to difficult to explain - it wasn't). It was a nice car but we had no instructions on any of the audio etc. The return was not bad but parking issues due to construction and heavy rain led to less than a satisfactory experience. This was the 1st unsatisfactory experience with Avis that I remember. "

" I would not hesitate to book with Auto Europe again or to recommend them to family and friends. The staff was friendly, and helpful. The recommendation to book the larger van was justified as the van we had first considered would not have been large enough for 6 passengers and all of our luggage. It saved us a lot of headaches. I would definitely recommend getting the transponder activated especially if you are travelling in Portugal as the toll system is not easy to navigate and the transponder takes the worry out of being caught with unpaid tolls. Thanks for a great experience. "

Must say he was very pleasant to deal with. He actually had to do all the paperwork and go get the cars and attend to show each customer the use of the vehicle. I think Avis/Budget in that location (Lisbon rail station) should be ashamed of themselves. We were in no rush and we did not mind the wait, however, the other customers were very upset. The only downside to this car rental experience was the personality of the woman we received the paperwork from upon arriving, through our credit card we have the Collision Damage Waiver and all the supporting paperwork, i realize staff are encouraged to sell the insurance, but her conversation with us was certainly less than friendly when we opted not to choose the extra insurance at the desk .
