" Auto Europe has a great website and great customer service representatives. I had booked my rental and several weeks later a more economical price was being advertised for the same vehicle. Auto Europe refunded my card credit no problem. "

" The agent at the airport counter was great. He explained the various fees involved should we decide to travel with the car by ferry as well as the additional cost should we decide to travel to any other country except Croatia via the Neum border which I was aware of as I had contacted Avantcar's head office via email prior to picking up the car. The vehicle was in good condition. Their outside agent reviewed the current condition of the car with us and we had extra scratches for her report which she said she noted but in hindsight we took her word for it. This resulted in a bit of a hassle when we dropped off the car and we were given a "clear report". Overall I would recommend them but double check the condition of the vehicle prior to leaving the lot. "

" I felt very cheated by Carwiz. When we picked up a car they explained that if we don't pre-pay for gas, it would be expensive. When we returned the car, as we were returning from a family funeral with a five month old, we were distracted and didn't fill up. The rep told us the cost to refill a half tank would be 100 euros. He then said that if I pay him cash 470 kunas (just under CAD$100) he would indicate the car was returned full and he would tank up the car for us. Keep in mind that filling up the entire tank was less than 400 kunas. It felt very shady and I left like we were really getting ripped off. I get a surcharge for failing to tank up, but those prices were ridiculous, and especially the cash option. Just felt like we were being taken advantage of "

" I was going to rent a gps. Attendant didn't know gps was available on the car. When we discovered car had gps I was told I would be refunded the gps costs. By the time I checked out it still wasn't refunded (2 weeks). Still waiting to see if refunded on my credit card. When I returned the car the gas gauge was just below -touching the full line. I was charged 30 euros for this. I think it was a bit too much for the costs to fill up and service it. It would be nice to be told what auto coverages are standard in a country (mandatory ) so you don't get questioned for extras at the counter and put into a tough quick decision. I tried to search online after but couldn't get specific info online. "

" I had a great experience with Auto Europe. When comparing rates, Auto Europe came out with the most competitive rate to suit our need. I had also called them a few times and always had great customer service. They made me feel more confident than any other car rental company that I inquired with that I would be getting what I had ordered and that if there was a problem with the actual car rental company, Auto Europe would help me handle it. Thankfully, we didn't run into any difficulties. Also, as I had ordered my car 6 months prior to my trip to ensure I got the model I needed, when there was a price drop from what I had paid, I called Auto Europe and they refunded me the difference with no hassle. That was nice. "

" Drop off in downtown Split is very dodgy. There is nowhere near them to park so you have to sit with the car in a taxi stand which the taxi drivers don't like. The employees of Enterprise were great, very helpful and polite. "

" Pick up was good. Drop off was a problem. There was no one in the Oryx office at Rijeka airport. Office was closed. Apparently the person had been in a car accident and would only be there 2 hours late after my flight departure. I had to leave car, keys and papers in the mail box. So I never completed the drop off. No one has contacted me after. I hope that my Visa charges are correct that I don't have to deal with any problems long distance. "

" The Avanti car was excellent. Signin/dropoff were efficient and clean. I do have a problem with Avanti charging a 25 euro fee for users crossing thru Bosnia as needing a green card. The vehicle had one already in the documents, but the rep said they needed to charge each new renter this fee. Didn't check, but I think its just extra profit for the company. Will you please investigate this and let me know? "

" We got upgraded to a better car (probably since they didn't have our size) which was great. The car (peugeot 308) was very clean and drove well for the 1000 km we drove with it. The only negative point would be when we arrived to bring it back. They tried to blame us for scratches that were already on the car even if during initial inspection I told the employee who said that it was fine. I would recommend taking a picture during initial inspection to avoid problems. In the end we weren't charged but it took 30 min to negotiate. Other than that we had a great experience with the car at a great price. "

" This was our first time using the local supplier Oryx. We received good service from the Oryx staff member at the Zagreb Airport. They did not have the car we requested but upgraded us without any hassle. Only downside, the rental car did not have a spare tire. We had to deal with a damaged tire 2 weeks into our rental period. Had to call for Oryx for assistance. Car was promptly replaced while visiting the Adriatric Sea. We did have to pay for the damaged tire though, as the insurance package through Auto Europe's quote for Oryx does not cover tires and windshield. We received a very good price for the rental period (compared to other Rental Agencies), so we would consider using Oryx in the future. "

" As I needed a GPS, I was told to ask for it when I picked up the car in Zagreb. When I got there there were none available and that I was supposed to have requested this in the comments section of the form. As a result I had t o drive to Rovinj to pick one up. This was very dangerous as I had no way to easily get to the office in that town. I would highly suggest you add a check box to request a GPS. "
