Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival As a tribute to Beethoven, music enthusiasts gather each year in Warsaw to attend concerts, various musical exhibitions and insightful conferences. All aspects of the classical music genre are observed and discussed at this elegant affair.
Cracovia Marathon The Cracovia Marathon entices thousands of runners to tour through the streets of Krakow for one of their most exciting athletic competitions all year. The 26 mile race begins and ends in beautiful Blonia grasslands. Entrants compete at this event for ten cash prizes, in addition to recognition and fame.
Krakow Juwenalia Local scholars take over the city during the annual Krakow Juwenalia. This celebration rules the streets with parades, all night parties and plenty of musical merriment. You'll be sure to find plenty of heavy drinking throughout this event, as the local bars and dance clubs stay open until the wee hours of the morning.
Sense of Humor Festival With a series of humorous competitions and skits, this particular event is heralded by many as the most hysterical festival in existence! Even the local museums join in by featuring satirical advertisements and illustrations. Polish Feature Film Festival This renowned festival features around 30 Polish artists films each year and is so popular that the award ceremonies are also broadcasted on national television. The festival differs from the norm in that they are not usually premiered. The selections, rather, come from previous year and compete with the Golden Lion for best feature. |
