Once a year, the roads in the Kinzig Valley are closed to automobiles and opened to cyclists. This day is intended to promote environmental awareness, and is wildly popular amongst tourists. If you forgot your bike at home, there are many local rail stations and bike shops offering rentals for the occasion.
