For car rentals commencing in Denmark it is required for it to have third party liability insurance coverage. Auto Europe includes this form of insurance on all basic rental rates in Denmark. The amount of coverage can range from about $17,000,000 up to an unlimited amount of coverage depending on the rental supplier. If you are 23-24 years old some suppliers will apply a deductible of about $200 CAD on the third party liability. Fire insurance is usually included on all basic rental rates in Denmark unless otherwise noted. If fire insurance is included it usually provides and unlimited amount of coverage to the vehicle in the event it is damaged due to a fire.
In Denmark collision damage waiver and theft protection are option on car rentals. Auto Europe gives you the option to purchase these insurances ahead of time at an advance purchase discount by offering them on all inclusive rental rates in Denmark. CDW is available locally for approximately $29 to $44 CAD per day depending on what category you are renting. Theft is also offered locally and can cost about $9 to $14 CAD per day and can usually only be purchased in conjunction with CDW. CDW and theft will almost always have a deductible that you are responsible for in the event anything happens to the rental vehicle, in Denmark the amount of the deductible can range from $0 up to $1,000 CAD. Super CDW is an optional insurance that is usually offered locally to help reduce the amount of the deductible (providing there is one); it can cost about $24 CAD per day and is available with select suppliers only.
In the event you decide to decline the CDW and theft in order to take advantage of coverage provided by your credit card Auto Europe strongly recommends contacting the card issuer to learn the specifics of your coverage and to make sure that a rental taking place in Denmark is covered.
