We called AutoEurope 1 week before our rental term was over to extend the rental by one week. At that time we were assured that it was all taken care of. Then we received voicemail messages on our home phone from Europcar saying we had not returned the car on time and that they had not received any communication about our extension.

Europcar did not answer their phone at the Palma de Mallorca airport desk when we tried to call to confirm that they had received our extension info. They also did not answer when we tried to contact them when they left messages about the car being overdue.
